About

My name is Adam. Just a little about myself: I’m a Christian, a husband, a father of 3 (soon to be 4), a do-it-yourselfer, and my hobby is woodworking. I’ve spent years working with my hands (by trade and by hobby).

I love to learn, so I’ve also taken on hobbies such as guitar, piano, digital graphics and design, video editing, computer coding, and drone-flying. But my main passion for the last several years has definitely been woodworking.

The Power Tool Website started as a tool review site, but I quickly learned that my take on woodworking appeals to a lot of beginner woodworkers.

Like many beginners, I have limited time, my wood shop is in my garage, and I only have a few main power tools. So what I do is I focus on mastering what I’ve got, and over the years I’ve learned how to create and use various jigs and sleds to make up for my lack of proper tools.

Many woodworkers are in a similar situation and so that’s what I focus on. Everything I do is from a “limited” stand point. Either limited on time, space, or tools. I call it “Small Shop Woodworking”.

My goal is to teach others that woodworking, even if you’re “limited” like me, can still be a very fulfilling and rewarding hobby. You can still create beautiful, amazing projects.

The key to learning this craft is becoming very hands-on. Learn how to use your tools and then try your best not to become intimidated by the various joinery techniques. Even though your first attempts probably will not be perfect, the trick is to get started anyway.

So stick with me, read all my posts, and subscribe to my email list. I’ll do what I can to help you grow in your hobby. Here’s to Small Shop Woodworking!
